Arctic Cimmerians The Next Cimmerian Historic Combat Re-Enactment Will Be: OP: DIAMOND CUTLASS OP DATE: Sat 17Jan2009 OP SCENARIO: As part of operation DELIBERATE FORCE in the Bosnian theatre, NATO forces were employed to find fix and destroy Bosnia Serb Army [BSA] SAM batteries in the Mt. Igman area through the winter of 1994-5. These DEADEYE missions were carried out by a variety of NATO specOPs elements. With air tactical transport support from french and USAF units. In the course of these DEADEYE missions at 1716, a French Mirage 2000K [designated EBRO33] was shot down by vehicle mounted surface-to-air missile, 20 NM SE of Pale; two good chutes were observed Mt. Igman area; efforts to locate and rescue the downed aircrew continued around the clock, supported by a wide variety of NATO and National assets, for the duration of DELIBERATE FORCE. A German Sikorsky CH-53 G helicopter using the tactical call sign 84+ 54 on a SAR sortie for EBRO33 was also shot down. Our renactoemt will be a alpine/acrtic OP on snow with authentic mil-arctic gear. BSA and NATO forces will clash in heated battle and stealthy enagagement. FULL INFORMATION AND SIGN UP...

See who the Cimmerians are at the Cimmerian Unit Roster . Cimmerian MIlSim ops stress military and historical realism as well as combat skills, all participants are required to understand the Cimmerian Rules of Engagement, Equipment Regulations and Uniform Standards. Operations are never cancelled due to bad weather, because real soldiers fight in all kinds of weather conditions and so do we. This adds to the MILSIM mission of Cimmerian operations to learn about and experience the role of an elite warrior.

Cimmerian operations are always conducted on the weekend of the third Saturday of each month. OPs are easy to access in  Northern California and Nevada. At least two times a year, a base camp is set up deep in the wilderness and operations are conducted throughout the weekend.
